How we grade evidence
Three levels
- Strong. Randomised trials, large meta-analyses or firm medical guidelines agree.
- Moderate. Consistent studies or guidelines, but smaller, shorter or observational.
- Emerging. Promising early studies. Worth doing for its own sake; the outcome is not proven.
What we never say
Lori never promises a smarter, more gifted or healthier baby, and never claims to prevent a condition. Each term below says, in plain words, what the research does not show. An automatic check stops these phrases from ever reaching the app or this site.
Who checks
Summaries are written from the original papers and guidelines, then reviewed by clinicians (review in progress; each term shows its status in the app) and re-reviewed every year. Spotted something wrong? Write to privacy@lori.baby.
